Bearemy's Kennel Pals is a collection consisting of different breeds of dogs (and one cat) that debuted in 2001 with the release of Bearemy's Kennel Pals Black Labrador. In the United States, $1 from the purchase price of each Bearemy's Kennel Pals furry friend was donated to the Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation, to fund a quarterly $1000-$10,000 grant called the Bearemy's Kennel Pals Grant that animal shelters and rescues could apply for.[1][2] New additions to this collection were released regularly from 2001 until 2013, including a small number of friends shared with the Cool Cats & Hot Dogs collection. Since the release of the Promise Pets Collection in 2015, no new Bearemy's Kennel Pals have been introduced.
