- The WWF Fennec Fox's hangtag incorrectly claims it is the twelfth in the WWF series; due to there being no new WWF furry friend released in 2010, it is actually the eleventh (or thirteenth if you include the WWF Giant Panda (international version) and the WWF Leopard (international version)).
- In the UK, this furry friend was sold without the WWF branding and none of its purchase price was donated to charity.
