ScentimentThe discs are heat activated, which means it can take some time for them to become smellable through a bear's fur, depending on the strength of the scent and the density of the bear's fur. Rubbing the disc on the outside of the bear before placing it inside can mitigate this, but this technique can sometimes have the unintended side effect of staining the fur or leaving a colored residue, especially on lighter colored bears.
