Scentiments (stylized as SCENTiments) are a type of stuffer that can be inserted into a bear at the Stuff Me Station to add an additional sensory experience. They are small plastic discs shaped either like hearts or bear heads that are impregnated with yummy smells. The first set of Scentiments launched in summer 2012.[1]


Notes to add:

  • 2.25 in x 1.25 in x 1/8 in thick.
  • Many Build-A-Bear fans report that scented bears can retain their original smell for years.
  • The name SCENTiments is a play on the word sentiments.
  • However, not all bears can be given a scent, as many online-exclusives are sold pre-stuffed.
  • Originally meant to be placed in a furry friend's paw, but many fans and bear builders prefer to place the disc inside the torso or back of the head so it can be smelled while hugging the bear.
  • Scentiments are heat-activated so can take some time to become smellable through a furry friend's fur - some bear builders try to mitigate this problem by rubbing the scent on the outside of the bear's fur before placing it inside, but this can sometimes have the unintended side effect of staining, especially on lighter colored bears.
